Talking about Alzheimer’s or other dementia

Having a conversation about Alzheimer’s or other dementia is extremely important for both the individual and their care-givers. Higher anxiety, depression and isolation are very common among care-givers and individuals but research shows having a support network can reduce this. Only 45% of people with Alzheimer’s or their care-givers report being told of their diagnosis while 90% of people with the four most common types of cancer have been told of their diagnosis.
